The Best of Aussie Winelands

Day 1 & 2. Depart for Australia. Fly from your home town to Los Angeles and onwards to Sydney, Australia. Cross the dateline.

Day 3. Arrive Sydney, Australia. Transfer to Radisson Plaza and spend the day at leisure. Welcome dinner tonight at The Jetty Restaurant, Sydney's newest home of incredible Italian cuisine.

Day 4. Sydney. Morning Sydney Sightseeing tour. Lunch at Edna's Table, which features creative Australian "bush tucker" cuisine. Following lunch, embark on your afternoon cruise of Sydney Harbour on board a luxury catamaran.

Day 5. Sydney to Hunter Valley. This morning travel by private vehicle to the Hunter Valley. With more than 70 regional wineries, the Hunter Valley boasts a wide range of varying styles. In the afternoon, visit and tour the Hunter Valley Wine School Cellars and Winery. You stay at the Hunter Valley Resort for two nights.

Day 6. Hunter Valley. Most of today is the Hunter Valley wineries and tasting with the Cellarmasters. You'll visit Bimbadgen Wines, The Rothbury Estate and Tamburlaine Vineyard, showcasing a range of quality Hunter regional wines, with lunch at the acclaimed Cellar Restaurant. late in the afternoon we return to Sydney to overnight at the Radisson Plaza hotel.

Day 7. Sydney to Adelaide. Depart Sydney for Adelaide, where you will be transferred to the Medina Grand, Adelaide.

Day 8. Kangaroo Island. Today you will fly to Kangaroo Island and experience by 4WD vehicle the unspoilt and "wild" beauty of Australia. Your full day tour includes Parndana Wildlife Park and Seal Bay Conservation Park. During the day you will see kangaroos, wallabies, glossy black cockatoos and echidnas.

Day 9. Adelaide to Barossa Valley. Today will commence with a tour of Adelaide including a visit to the National Wine Centre of Australia, a journey through Australia's winemaking past, present and future. In the afternoon, travel to the Barossa Valley Resort.

Day 10. Clare Valley. Enjoy a full day's touring of the Clare Valley, one of South Australia's most picturesque wine regions. Visit Tim Knappstein Wines, Sevenhill Cellars, Paulett Wines and lunch at Tatehams in Auburn, one of South Australia's best country restaurants.

Day 11. Barossa Valley to Adelaide. Today tour the Barossa Valley and visit Peter Lehmann Wines and Grant Burge Wines before enjoying a gourmet lunch at Vintners in Angaston. After lunch, take Barossa Wine Train to Adelaide. This evening there is a Farewell Dinner at Chloe's, situated in a beautiful 1876 Victorian villa.

Day 12. Depart Adelaide. Farewell DOWNUNDER as you fly via Sydney and L.A. to your home town. If you wish, you can extend your stay in Australia. There's still so much more to explore!
