Within the wine and food industry, the James Beard Awards
are the equivalent of the Academy Awards for actors - an annual
event where outstanding chefs and authors receive the honor
and recognition of their peers. On this cruise we salute the
James Beard Foundation when award-winning chefs meet our own
culinary team on the Seven Seas Navigator for a series of
delectable cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and signature
menus. To add to the festivities, guest chefs and ship chefs
meet in a light-hearted cook-off in the Constellation Theater.
It may lack the sumo-style of Iron chefs, but it's one competiition
where the guests are guaranteed to be the winners, when the
spotlight shines on Food and Wine, and the James Beard Foundation.
